A: The answer to that can be found in our "What is Nintendogs?" section.

Q: Has it been released in North America?

A: Yes. It was released in August 22 2005.

Q: When will Nintendogs come to Europe?

A: It was released October 7th 2005.  Europeans can pick it up today.

Q: Where can I get it?

A: Any major electronics/games store should sell them. EBgames, Gamestop, and if you can still find them, babbages. You can also find them in most major department stores. Futureshop, Walmart, and Toys R Us usually have them in stock. Be warned though, this game currently is quite high in demand so if you are shopping at smaller stores, don't be dissapointed if some of the versions are sold out.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: For the standard three versions, the aproximate prices for one game are:

US Dollar: $35.00

Canadian Dollar: $43.00

European Pounds: 73.5

A: Yes. Bark mode allows you to connect to other dog owners and let you interact with their dogs.

Q: Does it have online.

A: No, unfortunatley. Just local area multiplayer.

Q: How many breeds are there?

A: In each version: Six starter breeds, the rest unlockable. 20 all together.

Q: Am I limited to one color per breed? I want a black pug!

A: Don't worry, you can have your black pug. Most breeds come in multiple colors, usually 2-4 colors are available per breed.

Q: How do I control?

A: It works entirely through voice commands and touch screen interaction.

Q: Can I get a ROM for this game?

A: Yes.

Q: Where can I get a ROM for this game?

A: I won't say for several reasons. For one, I don't believe in ROMs, especially for newer video games. Two, you barely get the same experiance with a mouse, and if you don't have a mike, your screwed. Three, I'm tired of people not buying nintendo systems and just downloading emulators of them, it costs them millions you know.

Q: Is this a childrens game?

A: That depends on the way you think. It may be a cute game that appeals to kids, but it has enough depth and interaction to make the game fun for everyone. At least, that's how I feel.

Q: What's it Rated.

A: Rated E. You won't find dogs mauling children here, and despite the rumours, there is no dog sex here.

Q: When does Nintendogs: Best Friends come out?

A: October 24 2005 in North America. I am not informed on European release.

Q: What are the worldwide sales currently?

A: It has officially hit over 1.5 million copies.

Gameplay FAQ

Q: How many Breeds are there?

A: 20 in total. About 6 are available at start, depending on version.

Q: What breeds are there?

A: Chihuahua, German Shepherd Dog, Boxer, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Yorkshire Terrier, Shetland Sheepdog, Pinscher, Husky, Toy Poodle, Golden Retriever, Miniature Schnauzer, Beagle, Welsh Corgi, Shih Tzu, Shiba Inu, Pug, Labrador Retriever, Dachshound, Dalmatian, Jack and Russel Terrier.

Q: Can I use any word for a command?

A: Yes. Just like your dogs name.

Q: Is there any real difference with the gender?

A: All I've noticed is the way they Pee and the way the judges refer it too.

Q: Can I use swear words for names/tricks?

A: Techniquely yes, but, I believe there's a censor for typing on the name. But a period or something between the swear word of your choice, and say the swear word normally. Boo yeah, you can potty mouth up your Nintendogs game.

Q: Why does my dog growl and bark at an object?

A: Dogs have certain fears. Etcetera items tend to be more scary to dogs than others. Sometimes overusage of an item can bring on fears. My dog Caboose once was scared to death of a bark ball after a used it for a while. I gave it a break for a couple of hours, then he loved it again.

Q: How often can I go for a walk?

A: Once every 30 minutes per dog.

Q: How often can I do Competitions?

A: Three times per day.

Q: Can my dogs die?

A: No. After 3 days of being ignored they may run away and not appear again for several hours. Further ignoring of the Dogs may make them run away longer.
